Bad Wiessee - 105 rooms and suites, an 880 square meter spa and fitness area, roof terrace with restaurant and bar, panoramic view included, a café and a pizzeria: This is what the plans for the “Barefoot Hotel”, the actor Til, looked like Schweiger wants to build in Bad Wiessee (we reported). The four-story building is to be built on a 7000 square meter site on Hirschbergstrasse, which was a children's hospital until the early 1970s.

After the demolition, the area lay fallow. Some structural design projects had repeatedly failed over the past few years. Now the local council should decide on the project. The handling of the building application was on the agenda of the most recent meeting of the committee. "The planner submitted the application relatively quickly," says Anton Bammer, head of the Wiesse building administration. But as quickly as the plans were presented, the item on the agenda quickly disappeared. The planner withdrew the application at short notice. The plans had been available in advance in the council information system and had evidently immediately raised skeptical voices from several local councilors. “There were some uncertainties and question marks,” says Bammer.

The audit showed that there was still a need for clarification on some points. The building height that the applicant has in mind is problematic - especially with regard to the neighboring buildings. A relatively large number of exemptions from the local building regulations would have been necessary for the project to be approved. "The application in this form would probably have been rejected by the local council," says Bammer. Therefore, the concerns had already been communicated in advance. Now the plans will probably be revised again taking into account the critical points and then submitted again. They may come to the local council for further treatment in September.
