The swimming competitions in the Olympic pool in Tokyo are already coming to an end and today (Thursday) some of the last representatives of the Israeli swimming team participated in the qualifying rounds. Aviv Barzali qualified for the semifinals, Tomer Frenkel was stopped in the qualifiers and the mixed 4X100 relay team recorded a great achievement when they qualified for the finals - the second Olympic final in Tokyo, after the wonderful achievement of Anastasia Gurbanko.
4x100 meters mixed,
a great achievement for Israel in the ointment held for the first time at the Olympics: Anastasia Gurbanko, Itai Goldfaden, Gal Cohen Gromi and Andy Moraz managed to qualify for the finals. The quartet finished fifth in the end and eighth overall in the semifinals in a time of 3: 43.94 minutes, which was enough to take part in the final. Cohen Gromi managed to erase some of the initial gap when he jumped third into the water, Moraz jumped last, finished great and sent Israel to the peak status of the industry. The final will be held on Saturday at 5:43 p.m.
Qualifying 200m backstroke, women
A month and two days after setting an Israeli record in Rome when she stopped the clock at 2: 10.76 minutes, 19-year-old Aviv Barzali once again showed how much potential she has, when she jumped to her first appearance at the Olympics.
The talented Israeli swimmer finished last in the strong fourth leg, which was also attended by well-known swimmers such as Australian Kylie McKayon and Canadian Kylie Mass, in a time of 2: 11.13 minutes.
However, she managed to achieve the 15th time in nature, and therefore qualified for the semifinals to be held tomorrow at 5:35.
Great achievement.
