Quarantine for travelers to England remains only for the French: the beta version is to blame
France reported a total of 27,923 new infections within the last 24 hours.
The incidence climbed to 211.6 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, reports corona-in-zahlen.de.
As far as the newly reported cases are concerned, with 27,149 and 22,291 cases, only Spain and Turkey have nearly as many corona cases in Europe.
However, if you look at the incidence, France is only in seventh place - behind Spain and Great Britain.

A member of the ruling party of President Emmanuel Macron called the British decision "absurd".
Clement Beaune therefore hopes that the British government will reconsider this step and that the French will also be able to enter England immediately without being subject to quarantine.
After all, there is no scientific basis for this decision, according to Beaune.

The British government announced that it would not discuss the measure again until the end of next week.
