MdL Johannes Becher has laced his hiking boots again.

From Mittenwald to Moosburg, he wants to get to know the country and its people.

With very special shoes.

District

- He walked around three times, so to speak, crossing the districts of Freising, Erding and Pfaffenhofen on foot. This time Johannes Becher is walking a straight stretch. The member of the state parliament of the Greens is running again, wants to get to know the country and its people, lead political discussions, gain insights. From July 30th to August 6th, Becher will be hiking again - along the Upper Bavarian Isar from Mittenwald to Moosburg. 35 stations over 220 kilometers. He runs and runs and runs. It is “one of the most beautiful weeks of the year”, says Becher with a view to the hike that he tackles together with his “travel companion and boy scout” Bernhard Hrodek, who ensures that Becher finds his way home safely, as the Green self-ironically says .

This Thursday is the district committee meeting - and Becher will be wearing his hiking boots and his packed backpack with him.

Because immediately afterwards it starts - to the train station in Freising and then by train to Mittenwald.

First stop is a violin maker

The first visit takes the Becher and Hrodek duo to the violin maker Leonhardt in Mittenwald, then you look at a fish ladder and hike to Vorderriss.

And in this style - with very different stations and topics - it goes on: There Becher visits a goat farm, there he meets the water watch, there he visits a lime kiln, there he meets with the Greens from Sachsenkam, there he looks at each other a falconry, there he visits a place of remembrance.

Further stops: a detour to a monastery (Schäftlarn) and a visit to a vaccination center.

Becher is looking forward to a lot, but especially to Andreas Rammler, Mayor of Sachsenkam (for an independent electorate) and bassist of the punk rock band Scorefor, which has performed several times in Moosburg.

The world along the Isar is small.

Finally, it goes to Josef Braun's Bioland farm

On Wednesday, August 4th, Becher enters the district floor on his hike: At 5.30 p.m., a visit to the animal shelter near Dietersheim is on the plan, after which you can watch a sand martin project of the State Association for Bird Protection in Hallbergmoos, the evening ends the Meidinger organic farm in Mintraching.

The program for August 5th is relatively relaxed: a tour of the sewage treatment plant in Grüneck, a tour of the car dealership in Achering (keyword: e-mobility) and a visit to Josef Braun's Bioland farm.

And on the last day?

In Marzling, Becher and the mayor will take a look at the ailing Isar bridge, which belongs to the community, then exchange ideas in the Naturfreundehaus about the natural forest concept and walk home to the Dreirosenstadt.

In Munich, the duo throws themselves into the Isar

Becher did not buy any new shoes for his tour.

The kicks from last year were the first in which he did not have blisters on his feet.

And that's why they'll be there this time too - on a very special Isar hike.

Incidentally, this also includes the hikers Becher and Hrodek throwing themselves into the Isar in Munich on August 4th and drifting a bit.
