Journalist Roni Daniel is laid to rest
Hundreds of friends of the profession and family members of the military commentator of News 12 came to the funeral ceremony in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv.
Daniel, 73, was found dead at his home on Monday when the cause was apparently a heart attack.

News 12 journalist Roni Daniel, who passed away, is laid to rest today (Thursday) in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv.
Hundreds of his colleagues, public figures and family members of the military commentator, attended the funeral ceremony.
Daniel, 73, was found dead at his home on Monday when the cause was apparently a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Shlomit, and three children.
The ceremony was attended by, among others, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, former Chief of Staff Gadi Izenkot, former President Reuven Rivlin and many other well-known figures.

Behind him was a journalistic career that lasted about five decades, since he joined Kol Yisrael in 1971 as a reporter in the fields of transportation and agriculture, but spent the vast majority of his career as a reporter for security matters. During the Yom Kippur War, he was the first reporter to ascend Mount Hermon with Golani fighters.
Since then he has continued to work in other media. In the 80s he worked on Army Radio, and early 90s participated in facilitating the program "Media File" in education. In 1993 he joined Channel 2 and was a reporter on military and security at the new news, and has been one of the symbols.
