For some, the traffic situation at the town hall junction in Geretsried is too confusing.
At the CSU get-togethers they didn't want to leave it like that: "It works really well for a temporary solution."
Geretsried - For the first time after a 16-month Corona break, the CSU local association invited to its monthly get-together at the Geiger Inn on Sunday.
Mayor Michael Müller (CSU) reported on the current city policy.
“From now on, Karl-Lederer-Platz belongs to the people. It's slowly becoming part of people's minds, ”said Müller. He is pleased that the newly designed center has been so well received and used. "User conflicts" between playing children during the day, young people in the evening and residents are normal, according to the mayor. He knows that from his place of residence on Johannisplatz.
However, Karl-Lederer-Platz is now city center.
In the future, the town hall chief does not want to put up signs that forbid playing and the happy noises made by children: “I rely on dialogue.” This also applies to suggestions for improvement.
You can talk about more green in the form of flower boxes, as well as eliminating the squeaking of the rocking stone.
Egerlandstrasse should also be ready by the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023.
"Then the T-Zone will work as a whole," says Müller.
Frequent users of the Rathaus-Kreuzung say they have no problems there
The traffic situation at the intersection at the town hall was a temporary solution, emphasized the CSU local chairman Martin Huber in response to the criticism from visitor Heinz Wensauer. If one were to create an optimal solution, such as a roundabout, the relocation of federal road 11 to the Schwaigwaller slope would be at risk. The state building authority in Weilheim would then no longer see any need to change anything. Town hall chief Müller added that the B11 section between Wolfratshausen and Geretsried is one of the busiest in Bavaria. The aim is not only to move it away from the center, but also to widen it to four lanes - and if possible before the S7 expansion, so as not to have a huge construction site on the doorstep. The CSU members Alexander Totzauer and Ewald Kailberth said,as frequent users of the town hall intersection, they would never have had any problems. Kailberth: "It works really well for a temporary solution."
The forecast increase in traffic on the B11 to 50,000 vehicles per day is also, but by no means exclusively, related to the influx of people into the new residential area on Banater Straße.
The Krämmel company is building 770 apartments on the former Lorenz site, offering space for around 1700 people.
Mayor Müller emphasized how urgently the city needed housing.
The demand for owner-occupied and rental apartments (40 percent and 30 percent of the project) and for income-oriented rental apartments (30 percent) is enormous.
We are urgently looking for affordable housing
The cheap apartments are important for the economy, which fortunately is prospering despite Corona. But companies urgently need accommodation for their workers. So you have to see the “complex connections”, said the town hall chief. Alexander Totzauer added that many young people would also like to stay in their hometown and want affordable housing. According to Müller, around 70 percent of future residents will come from Geretsried and Wolfratshausen.
In anticipation of the discussion on the future of the Wolfratshauser Kreisklinik in the district committee on Monday, District Councilor Müller said he still wanted the district to remain the sponsor of the facility.
Nothing speaks against cooperation with other hospitals.
CSU member Franz Wirtensohn also pleaded for it to remain in public hands.
He recalled that the north of the district has more inhabitants than the south and that the north is the larger business tax payer.
“Health costs money.
It should be worth it to us, ”said the landlord's son.
