BRUSSELS - Sicily and Sardinia are back in red in the updated maps published today by the ECDC, the European center for disease prevention and control, which sees an increase in cases at least in half of Europe.
Most of Italy turns yellow, while only Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia and Basilicata in the south, and Valle d'Aosta and Piedmont in the north remain green.
Spain is almost entirely dark red, and most of Greece and France red.
Much of Holland, Cyprus and Corsica are also in dark red, i.e. there are more than 500 cases of Covid for every 100,000 inhabitants. Ireland and Portugal are entirely red (between 200 and 500 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), Denmark is partially red. Hello for now, therefore, Germany, Austria, Poland and all Eastern European countries, as well as Sweden, Finland and Norway, remain in green.
