The quantities of wheat seed that the branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Hama Governorate has sifted and sterilized since the start of the sifting operations at the beginning of this month has reached three thousand tons.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Engineer Abdul-Ghani Al-Aswad, indicated to SANA’s reporter today that the sifting and sterilization operations are carried out through the main sifter located in the town of Kafrbhum, which operates with a production capacity of 200 tons per day, indicating that the wheat is sifted from dust and broken kernels, and then the sifted seeds are placed in bags. Designed for this purpose and sterilized appropriately to maintain its quality.
Al-Aswad pointed out that the branch of the Foundation continues the operations of uprooting the potato crop from the 209 net houses in Kfara and Morek, indicating that the seeds resulting from these houses will be planted in open fields during the next season.
It is noteworthy that the branch of seed multiplication in Hama put, during the last month, an electronic earth meter for service at the agricultural mechanization headquarters.
