The Bobigny public prosecutor's office opened Thursday, July 29 an investigation after the degradation on Wednesday of the Bondy mosque, in Seine-Saint-Denis, AFP learned from a judicial source, confirming information from

The investigation was entrusted to the local police station, said the prosecution.

Stephen Hervé, LR mayor of Bondy, relayed the photos of the damage to the mosque where we see a broken French window and a damaged glass roof.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, in charge of worship, condemned “
the unacceptable degradations which targeted the Bondy mosque yesterday
” and provided “
support for Muslims in France
” on his Twitter account.
The French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM) for its part condemned "
firmly the act of vandalism
" and "
expresses its total support for the leaders and the faithful of the mosque
".
