The Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Lawyer Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, discussed today with Ambassador Issam Nyal, Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Jordan, the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and they discussed many issues of common interest.
Al-Awdat said: "The Jordanian-Syrian parliamentary coordination is continuing and we are keen to develop it to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and serve the issues of our nation, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, which the parliaments of the two countries dealt with in harmony that was manifested in the emergency meeting of the Parliamentary Union recently."
Al-Awdat stressed the need to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria that preserves its security and stability and preserves the unity and sovereignty of its territories.
For his part, Nial noted the Jordanian stances towards Syria, stressing the importance of strengthening and developing prospects for joint parliamentary coordination and exchanging visits of parliamentary delegations in a way that contributes to achieving the interests of the two brotherly peoples and serving the central issues of the Arab nation, stressing Syria's keenness to continue joint cooperation with Jordan, especially with the step of fully restarting the Jaber Center. frontier.
