Cuban television reported this Wednesday the death of the military officer Gilberto Antonio Cardero Sánchez.
During its broadcast, the state-run Canal Caribe read a note from the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces with a brief review of his career.

They reported that in May 1957 he joined column 1 of the rebel army under the orders of Fidel Castro.
