“You are the best”: Rector Adolf Geier praises the graduates of the Taufkirchen Middle School.

They had a hard time with Corona and the large school construction site.

Taufkirchen

- The traditional visit to the mayor was made by the best secondary school students on Wednesday morning in the Taufkirchen town hall. In the afternoon, the official graduation ceremonies with the handover of certificates took place in three stages in Unterhofkirchen. Mayor Stefan Haberl praised the excellent qualifications that they had mastered in a strenuous, extraordinary school year. "You put that away almost with ease," he said, handing gifts to everyone.

He praised the “great team” that stood by their side with the school management, staff and their parents and that had seen a lot on the front line. Rector Adolf Geier was also very satisfied with the final year of the ninth grade and the M train. Jasmin Daffinger (1.6) from Taufkirchen and Hannah Stuckenberger (1.6) from Hammerlbach / Kirchberg had the best qualifications, both now want to visit the M-Zug and pass the secondary school leaving certificate. Michael Attenberger (1.8) from Steinkirchen is learning to be an electronics technician in Vatersdorf. Johannes Hartl (1.8) from Gröttelsberg wants to become an automotive mechatronics technician in Landshut. Carina Landersdofer (1.8) from Angerskirchen is doing a one-year training as a nursing assistant at the kbo-Klinik Taufkirchen. And Martina Scheuchenpflug (1,8) from Hohenpolding is aiming to train as a nanny in Landshut.

Alina Reiche (1.33) from Velden was the best in the M-Zug.

She wants to complete the FOS Landshut in health care.

Magdalena Krieg (1.44) from Hörgersdorf begins an apprenticeship as an automobile saleswoman, and Sebastian Limmer (1.44) from Inning starts an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk in Taufkirchen.

Headmaster Geier was pleased that all the graduates had found good accommodation, that many would stay in the region and want to support small and medium-sized companies here. “You are the best we have. You are our capital, our youth. ”He had listed the paths the graduates take. Most of them start training in almost 30 different professions. The cross-section ranges from opticians to painters, bricklayers and butchers. Eight would become electricians or electronics technicians, six automotive mechatronics technicians, and seven would visit the FOS. Someone wants to learn a chimney sweep, a coveted apprenticeship position - and a great achievement.

"We are probably the only school that issues its certificates in a fire station," said Geier afterwards at the discharge ceremony. He and his colleagues had really worked hard to ensure that the certificates did not have to be distributed in the school yard. In addition to the certificate, each student received an annual report and a towel as a souvenir.

Accompanied by songs from the Neue Deutsche Welle, the rector recalled school demolitions, lessons in a container, alternation between face-to-face and distance lessons. He began his speech with the lyrics "It's great to be in the world" by Roy Black. He had picked out individual stanzas to describe feelings and events in everyday school life. Now nobody would say to the discharge students: “You, be quiet!” And they could finally do what they want. "Enjoy this feeling of freedom", after all, they had had enough restrictions due to Corona in the last few months. "You were all successful, and today there is really reason to celebrate."

33 internal students from the regular classes took part in the qualification test, 36 M-students, two kbo-students, one secondary school student and one vocational school student each.

There were 42 participants in the M test.

Eight people from the kbo clinic competed as external parties.

44 teachers taught at the school this year.

Groups celebrated with food and a supporting program until the next batch of students was at the door.
