Trial of November 13: a system of solidarity established between Parisian lawyers is debated

Part of the legal aid granted to lawyers representing more than two civil parties will be paid to their colleagues in the defense.


It is a document titled "Article 16 of Annex IX of the RIBP providing for legal aid as voted by the Council of the Order on July 20, 2021", spotted by France Info.

A text which may seem indigestible at first glance, and which is indeed very technical, but also of capital financial importance for those involved in the trial of the November 13 attacks.

Six years after the attacks that left 131 dead and hundreds wounded in Paris and Saint-Denis, this hearing will open on September 8 at the courthouse on the Île de la Cité, in Paris, and should last at at least eight months.

More than 1,700 people have so far joined as a civil party against the twenty defendants who will be tried by the specially composed Assize Court.

Of these twenty defendants, six will be tried by default.
