Peru has a new president who creates uncertainty at the beginning of his term.
The right-wing opposition describes Pedro Castillo as an extremist who could turn the country into the new Venezuela, but he stands apart from that statement saying that he is neither a Chavista nor a communist, although in his last speech he acknowledges wanting to change the constitution.
Andrés Oppenheimer says that this generates some distrust, since that was a system used by many presidents to perpetuate themselves in power.
Oppenheimer Presenta airs Sunday at 8 PM Miami time.
