The call opened last week and
there are already almost 100 registered
.
Design LAW Expo + Life and Work Series aims to show spaces designed by interior designers from all over the country.
The original idea is from Abo Robredo -ex CEO of Casa FOA Chile- and it will be
curated and supported by the UADE
and its related careers.
After a process where the proposals will be selected and the spaces will be built, the final result can be seen by streaming at
https://www.designlaw.com.ar.

Each chapter
will show the settings in a 360 ° tour
and will include interviews with the authors.
The first chapter, as a demo, was recorded in the house of the architects
Juan José Vicario and María Beatriz Blanco (vice president of DaRA).
“We already have registrations from
Tucumán, Mendoza, Rosario, Salta, Neuquén, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, Chaco, CABA and Buenos Aires
.
My big dream is to be able to have at least one space in each Argentine province ", Robredo is enthusiastic.

Unlike other interior
design
exhibitions,
Design LAW will show real spaces, which will not be dismantled once the experience is over
.
Designers, architects, engineers who want to participate must register and comply with the rules, which are
free.
Academic level curatorship
Jorge Cereghetti, head of the
Interior Design career at UADE
, together with professors from that university, will be in charge of the curatorship.
Those chosen
must pay the cost of the space ($ 200 thousand) but will receive innovative products to complete their projects
.
The materials will be provided by the official sponsors, all top-of-the-line, such as
Knauf, Canteras del Mundo, Alba, Dekton and Rocca.

"For example -explains Robredo- if an interior designer proposes a living room, which
can be his own house or one of his clients,
and his project is selected, he
has the materials of the participating companies
to carry it out. Then we go with the film crew and we finalized the series. "
The series will review the life of each exhibitor, revealing experiences, thoughts, traditional customs and stories.
Through
30 episodes in 30 different spaces,
this item will be known in another way, on a trip to different parts of Argentina.
The stages of the Design LAW process
Registration is open until August 18
and during that month there will be technical conferences and curatorship.
Those chosen
will have a 55-day deadline for construction
, starting in September and it is estimated that the cameras will arrive in October for the audiovisual survey of the spaces.

The filming teams, with
HD 14 K cameras,
will be made up of professors and students of the
Degree in Audiovisual Design (Image and Sound) from UADE
, who will also edit the episodes of the series.
The launch is scheduled for November 12.
"The alliance with the University is key," says Robredo, "not only because it allows students, who are the designers and architects of tomorrow, to get closer to the practice, but because
the UADE curators will be the ones to award the Gold Medal to the best space.
That is to say that the participants will not be judged by their own peers, but from the academic sphere ".
