At least seven people were killed and three others missing in a landslide caused by torrential rains in northern India.
Reuters quoted the Chief Minister of the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, Jay Ram Thakur, as saying today that rescue teams have recovered seven bodies and continue to search for three missing persons.
Local sources pointed out that the floods caused by heavy rains also caused the collapse of a bridge that was swept away by water.
Officials said at least three people were also reported to have died in Rajouri district of neighboring Jammu and Kashmir state due to the floods.
And caused floods and landslides in India, in a toll published last Sunday, killing 159 people and missing dozens of others.
