Because of the RTL show "DSDS": City puts residents on explosive days - church service has already been postponed

The RTL filming of the new DSDS season takes place in the middle of the market square in Burghausen.

Citizens have to be prepared for some restrictions.

Burghausen - The shooting of the RTL * show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" is in full swing.

This year the auditions will be recorded in front of the jury in only two cities.

RTL has chosen Burghausen and Wernigerode.

Filming has already ended in Wernigerode.

The transmitter is currently being set up in the Altötting district *.

This year, the participants appear for the first time in a glass cube specially made for the show directly on the market square.

This poses a number of challenges for the city of Burghausen.

For the first time, the jury * will no longer be led by Dieter Bohlen, but by Florian Silbereisen.

Ilse DeLange and Toby Gad are the other members of the jury.

“I think it's great that the new DSDS is going out on the marketplaces!

We are in the middle of the city! ”, Said Florian Silbereisen in an RTL message.

Passers-by on the market square can watch the filming live through the glass cube.

True to the motto: "DSDS close to the audience, close to the fans".

RTL points out that the last open casting will take place on the first day of shooting (August 1).

Namely at the Hotel Glöcklhofer in Burghausen.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. anyone who feels like singing can come by spontaneously.

Since traffic has to be diverted on the days of shooting from August 1st to 4th and August 8th, the city asks all visitors to use the Park & ​​Ride facilities with the exhibition hall parking lot and tax office.

However, the old town will always be accessible by city bus - even free of charge on shooting days.

RTL shooting in Burghausen: service in the parish church has to move

On the five days of shooting, the Bruckgasse (old bridge) and parts of the town square will be closed, as the city announced in a message. She expressly points out that interviews are repeatedly filmed in the city area and that there may also be short closures here in some cases. The parish church of St. Jakob is also affected by the shooting. Because of the closure of the town square on the two Sundays of August 1st and 8th, the Sunday service will be relocated to the Capuchin Church, as it says on the side of the church.

The city of Burghausen asks the residents for their understanding.

The request from RTL came at very short notice for the city as well.

"However, we are pleased about this unique platform and do everything we can to ensure that the citizens keep the unfortunately necessary restrictions, especially in the old town, as low as possible," said Mayor Florian Schneider.

In January 2022, the pictures will be shown on RTL on Saturday evening.
