Graefelfing - It should have been a beautiful day and the reward for a lot of effort and diligence: On Friday, a master class course at the Doemens Brewery Academy in Graefelfing celebrated the awarding of certificates.

Then some of the graduates took a party ride in the trailer pulled by a Mercedes Bulldog.

Residents watched as the team circled the roundabout at around 3:15 p.m. - once, a second time: the trailer tipped over to the right at the entrance to the underpass and the 20 people fell to the ground.

The police could not initially say whether someone was trapped under the trailer.

A large-scale operation of the helpers started immediately.

Over a dozen ambulances, the police and the Graefelfing, Planegg and Munich fire brigades rushed to the scene of the accident - over 200 people with dozens of emergency vehicles.

The emergency doctors took care of the injured while they were still on the street, the police recorded the accident and witness statements, the fire departments initially provided first aid and took care of the traffic diversion.

The whole area was cordoned off over a large area.

Werner Gloßner, managing director and headmaster at Doemens, also drove to the scene of the accident, as did Mayor Peter Köstler.

According to a police spokesman, 18 of the 20 people were injured after an initial interim result.

Some got away with minor wounds and the horror, four people were seriously injured, one of them heavier than the other three.

According to careful assessment by the police and helpers, there was no danger to life.

"The balance of the injured can change in the course of the day," said the police spokesman.

A test showed that the Bulldog driver had not drunk any alcohol.

The traffic police wanted to check whether he had a permit to transport people with the trailer.

In principle, it is not allowed to transport people on open trailers without any security.
