228 people were newly infected with the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence is now 14. Bavaria is still below the nationwide incidence of 17. However, one Bavarian district has surprisingly moved up to the top in recent weeks.
The Berchtesgadener Land * district in Upper Bavaria currently has the most corona cases in all of Germany - with an incidence of 64.2.
The district of Lüneburg is only slightly behind with its incidence (62.5).
Corona in Bavaria: Berchtesgadener Land is becoming a German hotspot
On Monday (July 26th), the Bavarian district of Berchtesgadener Land was the first district in Bavaria to pass the 50 mark for the first time in five weeks with an incidence of 58.5. Since the value was already over 25 over the weekend, stricter rules have been in place for students from the fifth grade since Monday. In accordance with the 13th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, a mask had to be worn again in the last week of school.
Since the incidence value in Berchtesgadener Land fell slightly below the 50 limit again on Wednesday, citizens do not have to be prepared for further restrictions for the time being.
However, if the district is over 50 again on Saturday, new rules will apply from Sunday.
That would mean, for example, that fewer people are admitted to various events and that a current negative corona test * would be required for some occasions.
Corona in Bavaria: Two regions have an incidence of 0.0
According to the RKI, the incidence on today's Friday (July 30th) in a district and a city in Bavaria is 0.0.
In the city of Schwabach in Middle Franconia there has not been a single new corona case in the last few days.
The Kronach district in Upper Franconia also has no new cases.
