REvil and Darkside dropped to their knees.
These two cybercrime groups have disappeared from the net a few weeks after being at the origin of large-scale attacks.
In mid-July, all the sites linked to REvil had thus become inaccessible.
These hackers, responsible for a third of ransomware attacks in 2020, claimed the operation against the American company Kaseya, which provides IT solutions to thousands of companies around the world.

After encrypting the data, REvil claimed $ 70 million in bitcoin to provide the decryption key.
As for Darkside, the group announced its
"dissolution"
after having hacked the American company Colonial Pipeline.
REvil and Darkside have in common that they are identified as "Russian-speaking".
It is difficult to know whether they have been the victims of reprisals - cyber or not - from the United States or whether they have responded to an injunction from the Kremlin.
