Does the city of Geretsried purchase lift filters for its elementary and secondary schools?
SPD City Councilor Wolfgang Werner wanted to have answered this question quickly with yes.
The city council saw it differently.
Geretsried - The district council has rejected the purchase of air filters for the secondary schools in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, but municipalities can decide differently for their primary and secondary schools.
SPD city councilor Wolfgang Werner is hoping for this with a view to the corona pandemic and largely unvaccinated students.
He wanted to discuss this in the city council meeting on Tuesday.
As reported, the parliamentary groups of the SPD and Geretsrieder Liste applied for the city to equip their schools with air filters.
The administration no longer put the issue on the agenda of the meeting.
That is why Werner put a point of order in the council chambers on Tuesday.
"I ask the city council to determine the urgency," said the SPD city council.
Mayor Michael Müller did not see this, however, as the topic was to be dealt with in a special meeting of the main and finance committee on Tuesday, August 3, at 5 p.m. in the council chambers.
Werner was obviously surprised by this.
His application was rejected by a majority with 9:17.
