103 graduates solemnly received their secondary school leaving certificates at the Tölzer Realschule on Thursday.

But not only the students said goodbye - for headmistress Barbara Lottner it was the last strike of the 10th grade.

Bad Tölz

- As in the previous year, the farewell to the graduates of the Tölzer Realschule took place on a smaller scale than usual.

It was divided into four classes.

Still: there was a little music, lots of sunflowers and lots of warm words of thanks.

In addition to the 103 beaming students with their certificates, there was one thing above all: A rector who was still crying with the pain of separation.

No matter what distance, no masks: no certificate awarding in this gym has probably been so emotional.

For the twelfth and final time, Barbara Lottner spoke the parting words.

At the end of the school year she will retire (we reported).

Realschule Bad Tölz: pupils and headmistress say goodbye

"Everything was different than you had imagined," summed up Lottner about the second school year marked by the pandemic, which she once again described as a "great adventure" for the students due to the long lockdown. One thing particularly touched her: “The school closings gave you so much freedom. But we noticed that you didn't want them at all. ”Nevertheless, the school apparently mastered the situation with homeschooling and co. To everyone's satisfaction. After all, the commitment in the pandemic time was highly praised by both parents and students.Ute Mensing from the parents' council particularly emphasized the commitment of Vice Rector Monika Rost - who organized the graduation ceremony - and of school social worker Andrea Daccache - who particularly took care of the concerns of the students during the exhausting pandemic months.

Record in class 10 c: 50 percent of students have a one before the decimal point

That the commitment and the work of all educators, teachers, parents and above all students was more than worth it, was shown not least by the extraordinarily good result of class 10c.

Because half of 26 students, i.e. 13, achieved a final grade with a one before the decimal point.

"I've never experienced that in my entire time at this school," said Vice-Principal Christin Hosfeld, underlining the super performance.

The year-old average is 2.45.

Out of 105 tenth graders, 103 passed - 27 of them with a one before the decimal point.

And then they were tearfully bid farewell - with thunderous applause: the graduates and their rector Barbara Lottner.
