The Damascus Quartet for Anthem performed a religious, national and heritage chanting concert on the stage of the Culture Palace in Homs under the title “The Great Singing Concert”.
The four vocalists, Mustafa al-Sheikh, Ghassan al-Srouji, Muhammad Shafiq al-Shaar and Mahmoud al-Sayyad, presented various songs that began with “Pray, O my Lord, upon the Beloved” and a special link for the Hajj season during the period of receiving pilgrims. “A visitor to the kindergarten is unforgettable.”
The program of the ceremony included songs of patriotic poems “I write your name, my country” and a special anthem for Homs, “Oh Homs the best, we have come.”
The quartet concluded the concert program with a compass that included religious songs in addition to Sufi poems accompanied by solo music, tambourine, choir members and a Melweya dance troupe.
It is noteworthy that the Damascus Quartet for Anthem was founded in 2014 AD and includes four heads of chorus groups in addition to choir elements, and its character is characterized by preserving and reviving the authentic religious heritage.
