Soccer teams from Mexico and the United States will meet in the final of the Gold Cup after eliminating their counterparts from Canada and Qatar respectively on Thursday.

Earlier, in a match played at the Q2 stadium in Texas, the United States beat Qatar 1-0, the Asian champions.

Qatar had the clear first option to take the lead in the 61st minute via the penalty kick, but Hassan Al Haydos sent his shot over the goal.
The United States scored the winning goal in the 86th minute when Gyasi Zardes swept into the area to finish off a pass from Nicholas Gioacchini.
In this way, Mexico and the United States will contest the Concacaf trophy on Sunday at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
