The Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health announced that as of 0:00 on July 30, the center is investigating two newly confirmed cases. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong is 11 985 (including 11 984 confirmed cases and one suspected case).

The 11984 case was a 54-year-old man who was asymptomatic. He arrived in Hong Kong from Switzerland on flight LX138 on July 28 and was diagnosed with the L452R variant virus.

He received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong on March 22 and April 12.

The 11985 case was a 44-year-old man with no symptoms. He arrived in Hong Kong from the United States on flight CX845 on July 29 and was found to have the L452R variant virus.

He received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong on May 2 and May 27.

A total of 27 cases were reported in the past 14 days (July 16-29), all of which were imported cases.

He had received two doses of Sinopharm vaccine in the Mainland on May 11 and June 15.
