The secondary school fired its graduates in stages. The six 10th grades with their 148 students received their certificates in the gym every hour. Contrary to all expectations, it was the best year in a long time: 39 students (2019/20: 13) finished with a one before the decimal point.

The six 10th grades with their 148 students received their certificates in the gym every hour.

Contrary to all expectations, it was the best year in a long time: 39 students (2019/20: 13) finished with a one before the decimal point.

- The Realschule did everything yesterday to make the graduation ceremony as solemn as possible for the graduates despite Corona. In the multi-purpose hall, tables for five people (students and parents) were set up at a suitable distance. Yellow balloons with an emoj face sprayed relaxed lightness at the tables and students and guests were allowed to take off their masks on the square itself. But of course it was still not like before Corona. This began, for example, with the fact that the usual greetings from District Administrator Thomas Karmasin and Mayor Andreas Haas had to be recorded via video, as in the previous year. And it continued on the tight schedule: after every 45 minutes, one class had to make way for the next.

In his closing speech, headmaster Christoph Breuer emphasized not only once how proud the school was of the achievements of its graduates.

Although the exams were not easier, the secondary school students fared significantly better than the graduates from the previous year.

At that time, according to Breuer, 13 students achieved an average grade with a one before the decimal point in their secondary school leaving certificate.

Now at 39 it was three times as much.

According to the headmaster, it was not the case that the exams were easier because of the pandemic.

However, the math teachers found that there were no mean things in their subject this year.

The headmaster also suspected the reason for the increase in the fact that the students had a lot of time and little distraction.

But that did not diminish his assessment of the performance: "You worked incredibly independently and disciplined in these difficult months." The graduates would have refuted all the nonsenseers and doomers who prophesied great gaps in knowledge for the students because of the Corona circumstances.

The junior high school students didn't just receive their certificates yesterday.

Breuer also presented them with the summer pass 2021, which the Free State also donated to the tenth graders for the first time this year.

This gives you free entry to all Bavarian castles and museums and free travel on the lakes in the Free State for two months.

Christoph Breuer urged the students to take advantage of this offer: “Go on adventure trips.

Explore Bavaria.

It is worth it"
