Tehran, SANA- The spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, Abolfazl Amoei, confirmed

Tehran-Sana

Spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Abolfazl Amawi, confirmed today that his country's policy regarding the nuclear agreement signed with the P5+1 group in 2015 will not change.

In an interview with IRNA, Amawi confirmed the continuation of the Vienna talks after the final announcement of the new Iranian government, noting that his country's policy regarding the nuclear agreement, which was previously prepared during the talks, will not change later.

Amoy explained that the six rounds of the Vienna talks to revive the nuclear agreement included a demand to lift all sanctions and embargo imposed on Iran, with the other side fulfilling its obligations, pointing out that the negotiation process could have been terminated ahead of schedule, but the approach of the US side and its insistence on maintaining sanctions was a reason for delay.

Amawi revealed that the lack of US guarantees is one of the main challenges to the Vienna talks, stressing that his country does not trust the Americans' intention to return to the nuclear agreement.

Since the beginning of last April, the Austrian capital has hosted the meetings of the joint committee on the comprehensive action plan on the Iranian nuclear file in order to achieve the return of the United States to the nuclear agreement, the lifting of American sanctions on Tehran and the full restoration of the agreement.
