The Lebanese National News Agency stated that army helicopters and civil defense teams controlled the fire and prevented it from spreading to the vicinity of residential houses in Jabal al-Hussein, especially in the Qornet al-Dibeh locality, near the Syrian border, where the Homs Governorate Fire Brigade contributed with its vehicles and bulldozers to extinguish the fire.
The agency added that the Lebanese army's helicopters continue their work in cooling the hot spots for fear of renewed fire, amid high temperatures.
She indicated that a fire broke out this morning in the oak and olive trees between the towns of Rahba and Al-Qurayyat, while a huge fire that broke out in Al-Mataria Al-Shumer farm was extinguished.
