The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced the appointment and removal of national staff by the State Council on Friday (30th), and the Liaison Offices in Hong Kong and Macau each welcomed a new deputy director.
At the same time, Yang Jianping and Qiu Hong, two deputy directors of the Liaison Office in Hong Kong, and Luo Yonggang, deputy director of the Liaison Office in Macau, were removed from their posts.

According to reports, the State Council appointed Luo Yonggang as the deputy director of the Hong Kong Liaison Office and Zheng Xincong as the deputy director of the Macau Liaison Office.
Luo Yonggang was formerly the deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Central Committee of Macau, while Zheng Xincong was the secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Leadership Group and the deputy governor of Fujian Province.
It is worth mentioning that the US Treasury Department’s website earlier announced sanctions related to Hong Kong and announced sanctions on seven deputy directors of the Liaison Office. Among them, Yang Jianping and Qiu Hong were included in the list. The others included Chen Dong, He Jing, Lu Xinning, Tan Tieniu and Yin Zonghua.
