Stake Vice Chairman Zou Xingtong is suspected of appealing to the public to participate in this year’s June 4th rally. He was charged with inciting others to participate in the unapproved assembly. The case was brought before the West Kowloon Court today (30th). Zou said in his defense: "Mourning for innocence. I don't plead guilty." The magistrate adjourned the case until October 5th. The trial is expected to be two days, and the prosecution will call three witnesses.
The prosecution revealed that it will rely on Zou's online post and an article in Ming Pao as a basis.
The defendant Zou Xingtong (36 years old) was charged with illegally inciting others in Hong Kong from May 29 to June 4, 2021, and participating in an unauthorized assembly without legal excuse or authority.
Zou Jin, who has not been released on bail, did not apply, but she reserves the right to go to court for review every 8 days and will return to the court for bail review next Friday (August 6).
