The secondary school is growing, the grammar school is being rebuilt, as is an indoor swimming pool: A total of 128 million euros will flow into the Aschheim school campus.

But the number looks more dramatic than it is.

Aschheim

- With pleasant planning, the school association of the municipalities of Aschheim, Feldkirchen and Kirchheim slowly approached the large number.

An impressive 128 million euros is to be invested in the school campus.

The municipalities are getting a new grammar school, the expansion of the overburdened secondary school and a swimming pool.

The architects have now presented the current plan to the decision-makers from the Zweckverband.

It begins behind the secondary school with the expansion, continues with the grammar school including the triple sports hall and ends with the school swimming pool.

There were no major discussions about the implementation of the winning design.

It got exciting with the costs: They were put at 128 million euros.

The Realschule, the dark “ship” at the top of the site plan, is getting three extensions: a functional building for the caretaker and special-purpose association (rectangular white area above) and two buildings for teaching (above center).

"That is the curse of the first number," said Aschheim Mayor Thomas Glashauser (CSU). Compared to other expensive school construction measures, the Aschheim campus is within the limits because the money is divided between the expansion of the secondary school to 900 students, the new construction of the high school, which is calculated with 1000 students, and the swimming pool, which, in addition to the two secondary schools, also includes the primary schools of the three Member communities should be available. The total costs are divided as follows: the new high school building costs 71.5 million euros, the secondary school extension 36.4 million euros) and the swimming pool 14.7 million euros.

The figures presented and unanimously approved result in stakes in the grammar school for the three municipalities of Aschheim, Feldkirchen and Kirchheim amounting to 12.15 million euros. The cost pool of the district of Munich is 35 million euros. Maximilian Böltl, Mayor of Kirchheim and chairman of the association, emphasized that these sums do not have to be paid in this way. Currently one has not yet included a cent grant from the Free State or the Federal Republic. According to Böltl, there will definitely be subsidies, but the amounts cannot be foreseen and the three mayors in the Zweckverband calculate with the worst possible case. "It's easier for us when we end up patting each other on the back when we've got our costs down," said Glashauser. As deputy district administrator, Annette Ganssmüller-Maluche (SPD) can classify the school construction costs - and she sees the Aschheim campus as positive: "For everything that is being built here, it is very serious planning."

Clubs benefit

The Aschheim associations will also benefit from the school campus.

Outside of school hours, you can use the triple gymnasium of the grammar school.

There is also outside interest in the swimming pool for courses and events.

Maximilian Böltl made it clear that the schools including the primary schools in the three municipalities clearly have the privilege and that the institution can therefore also hope for state funding.

For free time, Glashauser had a compromise proposal and brought the adult education center up for discussion.

The educational institution is responsible for all three communities and could create swimming offers for people from all areas of the association.

With the approval of the association to the cost plan (118.7 million plus 10.4 million for unforeseen events), planning can now continue.

In the member municipalities, the municipal councils still have to decide on a 4.9 million euro participation in the school swimming pool.
