The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a new case of a person who allegedly flew over Los Angeles with a
jetpack
near the path used by planes to land at the airport. international.
"A pilot of a Boeing 747 reported that he had seen an object that could resemble a
jetpack
15 miles east of LAX [the name of the airport] at 5,000 feet altitude, around 6:30 pm Wednesday (West Coast local time), "the FAA explained in a statement.
"Out of excess of precaution, the air traffic controllers alerted other pilots in the vicinity," he added.

An agency spokesman said the FBI "will work with the FAA to investigate the report, as it has done in the past to determine the facts."
The FAA said it has not been able to verify any of the previous reported sightings so far.
In August, two pilots from different flights reported the presence of a person with a
jetpack
during their descents at Los Angeles International Airport.

About two months later, a China Airlines flight crew member also reported that something that looked like "a flight suit" was passing at 6,000 feet.
