Apparently the people from Wartenberg have a special connection to Petrus, who after a few rainy days were able to look forward to a concert by the Erdinger cult band DeSchoWieda with a clear blue sky.
Wartenberg - Mayor Christian Pröbst and co-organizer Max Kronseder had to calm down numerous callers during the day who doubted it would be carried out, and the organization team was also challenged: in the late afternoon, all the markings for the parcels that had been washed away by the rain showers had to be reapplied.
Over 400 fans cheered the band on Nikolaiberg when asked: “Are you up for tuba, bass and Nikolaiberg?” From the very first moment, the five thoroughbred musicians carried away the audience, who, together with the musicians, “Heid moi ned an moing denga “wanted.
The audience proved to be absolutely sure of the text with the hits of the band such as the “Grantler”, a species that was hardly seen at this concert.
The request “Laugh amoi”, which could also be read on many T-shirts, turned out to be superfluous, because a festival feeling soon spread on Nikolaiberg.

On the beer bench couches they rocked to the beat, in between a detour to the snack huts, hosted by Anton Müller from the Reiterbräu, a short chat with friends - a concert evening that has long been missed.
The band sang of “Dahoam” and the homeland, where you belong and want to be, loudly supported by the polyphonic visitor choir.
Some songs like “mei Madl” were specially dedicated to all dirndl wearers or the “Easyrider” to all who came by bike.
Some Zündapp drivers were also in the audience, as the title song for the Wittmann brothers' film “Ausgrissn” (“Bleib gschmeidig”) revealed.
Not to be missed were the hits like “What happens do” from the video with Monika Gruber in a classic car or “Nimma”, where the fans couldn't stand it anymore and they had to get up.
Here every visitor could celebrate and sing: “I was there”, while on Nikolaiberg “the whole world was going on” and rocking in the lots.
After a few encores and a celebrated spoon solo by the drummer, DeSchoWieda said goodbye, and singer Max Kronseder promised: "Mia seng us again next year!" His thanks went to all helpers, clubs and neighbors, without whose help such an event would not have been possible would.
A small consolation for the fans: ticket sales for the cultural summer 2022 should start on October 1, 2021.
Tickets are still available for the double concert by Julian Wittmann and Oimara, a Bavarian songwriter from Tegernsee (www.vg-wartenberg.de/wartenberg/kultursommer), which will be made up on Wednesday, August 11th.
