New Year's Eve mood in the middle of summer: many colorful rockets recently shot into the sky above Steingaden.
For this year it was the last fireworks that were set off by the students of the pyrotechnics school "Hummig Effects".
Steingaden
- Fireworks are always a spectacle. In order to be able to burn down large fireworks, however, appropriate training is required. Such a state-approved large fireworks course can be completed at “Hummig Effects” in Peißenberg, among others. Anyone interested in this course, however, has to meet some requirements: In addition to formalities such as the minimum age of 21 years and proof of a clearance certificate, the budding pyrotechnicians must also have sufficient experience. Prior assistance at at least 20 fireworks is mandatory in order to start the large fireworks course, as "Hummig Effects" explains.
To gain the necessary practical experience, the pyrotechnics school offers participation in so-called training fireworks.
These are set up and burned down independently by the training participants under supervision. 20 such training fireworks could also be marveled at at different locations in the region this year - two each evening.
The two fireworks in Steingaden now brought the season to a close.
Before the corona pandemic, the Steingaden fishing association regularly held a festival when "Hummig Effects" lit the last fireworks of the summer.
Since last year, however, these festivities can no longer take place, as the pyrotechnics company announced.
Nonetheless, practical knowledge was imparted to the course participants and the region could look forward to fireworks.
