Heavy heat load is expected to prevail starting tomorrow (Sunday) across the country for about ten days - according to the Meteorological Service's forecast.
In some areas an extreme heat load is even expected.
Already today a slight rise in temperatures in the mountains and inland is expected, and heaviness will be felt in the heat loads.

Tomorrow there will be another slight rise in temperatures, and it will become warmer than usual in the mountains and inland, and steamy in the coastal strip.

The Nature and Parks Authority asks the public to refrain from going for walks in the open field these days for fear of dehydration and danger to life.
It is also strictly forbidden to light fires in nature reserves and national parks except in approved places in the parking lot, due to the danger of fires.
The Authority states that it is possible to travel to sites where the duration of the trip is short, where the route is shaded and there are places for refreshments and drinking water.
Also, due to the conditions it is possible to close hiking trails and sites.
