Summer doesn't really want to move in in Germany - warnings of squalls and strong thunderstorms are also issued on weekends.
Munich - On Saturday lunchtime, the danger situation applies again to half of the republic.
Only the southern half of Germany shines in a calming green on the warning map of the German Weather Service (DWD).
For central and northern Germany, however, official warnings of distinctive weather levels 1 and 2 apply.
"From the coast to northern Bavaria" is therefore widespread with gusts of wind and gusts of 50 to 89 kilometers per hour to be expected.
Looking back on the heavy rain events of the past few weeks, this is not a terrifying warning.
In the course of Saturday, however, a few strong thunderstorms are to be expected.
Especially in the northwest and in the Alpine region.
Striking weather in Germany: Thunderstorms and continuous rain can be expected at the weekend
On the night of Sunday it should then come back to continuous rain in the Alpine region.
This could last until Sunday noon, according to the DWD.
In the Alps and in the foothills of the Alps, as far as the southern Bavarian Forest, continuous rain between 30 and 50 liters per square meter can be expected.
In the Allgäu, storms with amounts of rain over 50 liters per square meter are possible in 24 hours.
On Sunday afternoon, individual strong thunderstorms will then also appear in the west and north.
And what is initiated at the weekend is also retained for the rest of the week: Thunderstorms and rain accompany the Germans through the first week of August.
"On Monday, individual thunderstorms with heavy rain of around 20 mm are possible in central and northern southern Germany," predicts the DWD.
On Tuesday there is a risk of strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail, especially in central Germany and in the Alps.
Storms are also not excluded.

Towards the end of the week, thunderstorms and heavy rain are likely in the middle and north of Germany. On Friday, according to current forecasts, thunderstorms with heavy rain can occur in the western half. Severe weather-like developments cannot be ruled out here either.
