The Suwayda kickboxing team achieved 22 different medals during its participation in the Republic Championship for juniors and girls, which concluded its competitions in Tartous.

As-Suwayda national team won 6 gold medals through Hatem Gharz El-Din (44 kg), Taj Abdul Hai (over 60 kg) in light contact style, Omar Al-Halabi (42 kg), Shahd Fleihan (42 kg), Danny Jammoul (52 kg), and Hala Abu Ras (55 kg) in semi-contact style.

The As-Suwayda team won 8 silver medals by Haneen Abu Ras, weighing 40 kg, Rawaa Sharaf El-Din, weighing 45 kg, Shahd Shukair, weight 55 kg, Karim Abu Fakhr in the same weight in light contact style, Aseel Al-Masry, weighing 46 kg, Fayrouz Zain El-Din, weight 60 kg, and Lana Abu Ras, weighing over 60 kg. Uday Saeed weighs 69 kg in a semi-contact style.

The As-Suwayda team won eight bronze medals by Karim Jammoul with a weight of 48 kg, Hala a box with a weight of 50 kg, Raafat Al-Halabi with the same weight, Mary Qatini with a weight of 60 kg in light contact style, Hamad Ashti with a weight of 47 kg, Sham Al-Khatib with a weight of 50 kg, Omar Trad with a weight of 57 kg and Abi Hammad Weighing 63 kg, semi-contact style.

As-Suwayda national team came in second place in the general arrangement among the participating teams, in addition to coach Osama Al-Halabi winning the best coach’s shield in the tournament presented by the Game Association.

In a statement to SANA’s representative, the head of the Kickboxing Technical Committee and the coach of the Suwayda national team, Osama al-Halabi, indicated that the achieved results are the culmination of the intensive camp set up by the training staff of the Suwayda national team before the tournament, and the players’ commitment to the instructions entrusted to them, indicating that the tournament was distinguished by its high technical level and the wide participation of 11 teams. It included 150 male and female players at the same time, in cooperation with the Game Federation, the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch in the governorate, and the players' families.

It is noteworthy that the coaches of As-Suwayda national team were supervised by Zaher Al-Taqi, Osama Al-Halabi, Radi Al-Hamad and Samir Matar, in addition to the administrator Wissam Rayman.
