The sons of the tribes in the countryside of Qamishli held a clan gathering in the Watan tent in the village of Kharab Askar today to celebrate the occasion of the Syrian Arab Army Day, during which a tribute was paid to more than fifty families of the martyrs.

The Sheikh of the Bani Sabaa clan, a member of the People's Assembly, Sheikh Hamid Al-Asaad, said in a statement to SANA reporter that "this honor comes on the occasion of the Syrian Arab Army's Day and in recognition of the value of the sacrifices made by the martyrs for the sake of the homeland."

Al-Assaad pointed out that “this ceremony and honor is the duty of all honorable people in Syria and the least that should be offered to the families of the martyrs, because with the blood of our righteous martyrs we have preserved Syria’s unity and with the steadfastness of our valiant army we will purify the rest of what has been desecrated from Syrian land.” “They are beacons that light the paths of future generations of Syrians.”

The family of the martyr Saadoun Muhammad, one of the honorable families, also expressed its pride in what the martyrs offered in order to preserve the unity of Syria, indicating that the homeland is a mother and its call must be met, and that their son offered his pure blood for the sake of Syria's strength, pride and independence.

At the end of the ceremony and the honoring, the dignitaries of the Bani Sabaa clan affirmed that there is no alternative to the Syrian state and the Syrian Arab Army, which calls for a permanent rally around this army, because it is the only savior from terrorism and to expel all the occupying forces from the Syrian territories.
