Today, the exhibition hall at the Palace of Culture in As-Suwayda city hosted a documentary photo exhibition covering the presidential elections period.

The exhibition was prepared by Riyad Naim, who is interested in journalistic documentation, and included about 150 pictures that shed light, according to Naim, on the official and popular activities of As-Suwayda and the participation of the people of the province in the presidential elections, including preparations, popular marches, gatherings and tents of the homeland, up to the polling day and after the announcement of the results and the victory of President Bashar al-Assad and the celebrations held on this occasion.

Naim pointed out that the exhibition aims to document what happened to become a living document for future generations.

The head of the Journalists Union branch in the southern region, journalist Rafiq al-Kafiri, indicated that the exhibition documents the popular and mass movement in the governorate during the period of constitutional entitlement.

A number of visitors to the exhibition pointed out the importance of the national value of the displayed images to an important station in the history of Syria, and can be used to achieve communication between the past, present and future, and constitute a documentary archive for this stage.
