The Russian writer and poet Nikolai Gumilyov is inspired by his play “Children of God” from his influence on the Arab and Islamic cultures and mysticism, so that the play appears as one of the Thousand and One Nights.

The play written by Gumilyov was translated by Dr. Abdullah Issa's poetry, preserving the poetic spirit in it, in addition to a biography of its author, in which he reviewed the stage in which he lived during the era of Tsarist Russia and the beginnings of the Soviet era, with a brief critical view of the poet's works, especially this play.

Dr. Issa believes that the play is full of poetic spirit at the expense of the dramatic work, but it is considered one of the most important and unique literary works in Russian and human literature, as it constitutes a declaration of the victory of great love.

The book, issued by the Syrian General Book Organization, is 95 pages of medium size.

It is noteworthy that Nikolai Gumilyov is a Russian writer, poet, and critic who lived between 1886 and 1921. Jubah” and “The Tent”.

As for the translator Issa, he is a Palestinian poet, academic and journalist whose works include Dead Counting Stones and an anthology of Russian poetry.
