Dozens suffer from suffocation after chlorine gas leak in southern Egypt

Cairo, SANA- 35 people suffocated due to chlorine gas leakage at a water station in Aswan Governorate, south of Aswan.

Today, 35 people suffocated due to a chlorine gas leakage in a water station in Aswan Governorate, southern Egypt.

Egyptian media reported that a chlorine cylinder leaked at the Abu Ghallab water station in Edfu center, as a result of which 35 people, including two officers, suffocated, and the injured were taken to hospital.

The Egyptian authorities conducted an investigation to find out more about the incident.
