Damascus-SANA
The Albanian Ambassador to Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, Mark Gharib, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Syrian state in its various sectors to help return the Albanian nationals, who are 5 women and 14 children, from “Al-Hol” camp in Al-Hasakah governorate.
In a statement to reporters at Damascus International Airport yesterday evening, before his departure, accompanied by Albanian nationals, Ambassador Gharib said that the mission to return the 19 Albanian women and children from the “Al-Hol” camp is the third of its kind in a year and a half, and was carried out in cooperation and facilitation by the Syrian authorities.
The "Qasd" militia, with the support of the American occupation forces, is detaining thousands of displaced families in the al-Hol camp, in addition to thousands of other foreign families and their children, amid tragic health and social conditions, where children are exposed to killing, liquidation, recruitment and a lack of food and medicine, which portends a humanitarian catastrophe, especially in light of the Corona pandemic and with The insistence of some Western countries to refuse to take back their citizens, terrorists and their families who are in the camp.
Ambassador Gharib called on all countries that have nationals in those camps to return them to their homes, which will reflect positively on the situation in the region.
Gharib pointed out that the delegation accompanying him includes men from the Albanian police who will work to secure the children and help them start a normal life upon their arrival in their country, pointing out that these children have no fault in what their parents chose, as they were children of one or two years of age and came to Syria with their families who died there. After they lost their way and chose to fight and joined terrorist organizations.
