The World Health Organization has warned of the increased risk of infection with the Corona virus, especially its mutated strain, Delta, among pregnant women.
It has been proven that pregnancy increases the risk of serious symptoms of corona, including the delta mutant, said WHO Director of Vaccines, Kate O'Brien, as quoted by AFP.
In turn, the British authorities called on pregnant women to commit to being vaccinated against Corona, after the infection with the delta mutator became dominant in the country since last May.
And a British advisory body had warned that the Corona virus delta mutated could lead to the death of a third of those infected with it, amid growing concern about its seriousness.
