A Swiss health expert has revealed that the new Corona virus could, within years, become a regular seasonal disease, such as a runny nose.
Didier Petti, who holds the position of Head of the Department of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases at the University of Geneva Hospital, explained that people will be infected with the virus lightly despite the presence of antibodies to it, noting that there are several types of the Corona virus in the world that have an epidemiological nature, but the human body develops immunity to it at a stage Childhood.
Petty said: “By the age of twenty, we all have antibodies to these types, but despite our knowledge of these viruses and the emergence of immunity to them, we will feel from time to time a slight runny nose, and there is a high possibility that Corona will follow the same path.”
And the Swiss expert indicated that after five to ten years, all the population, or perhaps 99 percent of them, will have antibodies to the Corona virus, and the infection will be in a mild form only, that is, in the form of a common cold in the nose, calling for vaccinating the largest number of the population as soon as possible in order to reach collective immunity.
