Knife attack in Schweinfurt: Adolescent (18) dragged himself to the emergency room with several stab wounds

There was a dangerous knife attack in Schweinfurt on Saturday.

An 18-year-old was stabbed several times.

The perpetrator was initially able to flee.

Schweinfurt - On Sunday night, an 18-year-old boy was seriously injured by several stabs with a knife.

He had previously quarreled with someone who was still unknown at the time.

However, the police were able to quickly locate the alleged perpetrator.

Shortly before midnight, the 18-year-old and his later attacker met in Schweinfurt *, Lower Franconia. For reasons that are still unknown, the two of them quarreled. Then the situation escalated and the stranger stabbed the teenager with a knife, the Lower Franconia police wrote in their press release. The 18-year-old, who comes from the Schweinfurt district, dragged himself to the emergency room at St. Josef Hospital with the help of a friend. There the critically injured young person was immediately given intensive care. Meanwhile, there was no trace of his attacker.

The alerted police immediately went to look for the stranger.

This turned out to be difficult, however, since the statements of the witnesses differed greatly from one another.

The Kripo kneeled into the case and was able to identify a 20-year-old suspect from Niederwerrn during the night.

The handcuffs clicked on Sunday morning.

The suspect was provisionally arrested without resistance by officers from the special command.

By order of the Schweinfurt public prosecutor's office, the 20-year-old has to answer to an investigating judge on Monday.

This then also decides whether the man has to be in custody or not.
