Lamont Marcell Jacobs was proclaimed the winner of the gold medal in the 100 meter sprint event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He set a time of 980.
American Fred Kerley took the silver medal with a 9s84 record and Canadian Andre De Grasse took bronze with 9s89.
Jacobs, of American origin, has lived from a very young age in Italy, where he developed his entire sports career.
He is now the successor to Jamaican Usain Bolt, winner of the last three gold medals that were up for grabs.
Britain's Zharnel Hughes had been disqualified for a false start on the first start.
