Patricia Bullrich responded harshly to the national government, which this Sunday recalled that "four years have passed since the disappearance" of Santiago Maldonado after the "repression" of the National Gendarmerie.

"They insist with the lie,"

said the former Minister of National Security.

"Four years have passed since the disappearance of Santiago Maldonado,

after the repression carried out

by the National Gendarmería against the Mapuche community in the Pu Lof de Cushamen, Chubut, which was demonstrating on Route 40," wrote the Human Rights Secretariat of the Nación, by Horacio Pietragalla, on his Twitter account.

And he added: "Santiago, 28, was

missing for 78 days

. His body was found months later in the Chubut River, a few meters from where he had been seen for the last time. Today, we accompany his family and friends and the entire society in the order of justice ".

It was to those messages that

Bullrich replied

, also through that social network.

The National Government insists with the lie, saying that Santiago Maldonado was disappeared.

Luckily the truth came out.

A truth that I am going to repeat ad nauseam to end with a story that hurts all Argentines so badly.

"The National Government

insists with the lie

, saying that Santiago Maldonado was disappeared.

Luckily the truth was known.

A truth that I am going to repeat ad nauseam to end with a story that does so badly to all Argentines," said the President of the PRO.

Against "the Kirchnerist story"

Bullrich accompanied her message

with a video

, in which she is seen

mounted to the gate

of the field where the episode happened, at the height of the Pu Lof Resistencia Cushamen in Chubut in 2017. "We lived 78 very hard days, but

we managed to defend the truth"

he said in those pictures.

"Here we live one of the

most tragic stories of

the Kirchner story

," began Bullrich in the film record.

"They wanted to say that our government had disappeared Maldonado. Luckily the truth was known. The truth is that

it had not been like that,

" added the former minister of Mauricio Macri and current president of the PRO.

He said that

"we are sorry for what happened"

with the young man.

"But we are convinced that we achieved something very important, that this story did not come true and

that the truth would triumph."

Maldonado was last seen on August 1, 2017, when he was participating in a demonstration by members of the Mapuche community who were blocking Route 40.

His body was found on October 17

of that year in the Chubut River, meters from that place.

In November 2019, prosecutor Franco Picardi charged former Macrista officials for their actions and for the alleged development of a "criminal plan" in the disappearance of Maldonado, as well as in that of Rafael Nahuel.

The body of Santiago Maldonado was found on October 17, 2017, meters from where he had been last seen.

Following a complaint from the Permanent Assembly for Human Rights, Bullrich himself, Pablo Noceti (former Chief of Security Cabinet), Gonzalo Cané (former Secretary for Cooperation with the Judicial Powers, Public Ministries and Legislatures) and Gerardo Milman were charged. (former Secretary of Homeland Security).

Already at that time Bullrich had strongly crossed the Government.

"They created a plan to sow hatred and fear in people. There will be no pressure that can stop me," warned the former Minister of Security.

Months later, with Alberto Fernández in the Casa Rosada, the Kirchner government denounced Noceti and two members of the Gendarmerie, after an internal investigation by that force requested by Bullrich's successor, Sabina Frederic.

"The head of the Gendarmerie, in

an act of due obedience

, has acted in a political act by forcibly placing the place of the forced disappearance," Bullrich replied then.
