Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic Workers' Party of Korea (DPRK) Kim Yo-jong warned Thursday that planned military exercises between South Korea and the United States this month will harm the two Koreas' resolve to rebuild their relations.
"In the event that South Korea carries out joint military exercises with the United States, it will harm the two Koreas' resolve to improve relations," the DPRK news agency quoted Kim as saying in a statement.
She added, "The recent decision to restore inter-Korean hotlines should be considered nothing more than a physical reconnection and it would be ill-considered to assume that inter-Korean summit meetings are imminent." They will make a bold decision.”
On the 27th of last month, the DPRK announced the reopening of communication channels with South Korea under an agreement between DPRK President Kim Jong Un and South Korea's Moon Jae-in.
