At the sponsored run of the elementary school on Fürholzer Weg in Neufahrn, the boys and girls gave everything.
And the effort was worth it: the huge sum of 10,018.50 euros was run up in total.
Neufahrn
- After a sponsored run could not take place in the past school year due to Corona, the desire among school children, parents and the primary school staff was great to stand up for needy children again this year. And so the school family recently met in the Neufahrn stadium to hold the runs. Although the very large audience was missing because of Corona, the children were highly motivated. Everyone gave their best, some surpassed themselves and motivated each other to do more rounds. Also some parents and teachers insisted on it and ran with them.
Laura Schaldach, founder of Nepalhilfe “nepalmyhome”, which mainly supports the partner school in Amalbas, was among the audience. She reported on her projects with great enthusiasm. The people in Nepal are suffering a lot from the corona pandemic and its consequences and can hope for little government help. The drinking water supply in particular is a major problem in Amalbas. Many children have to work at home for economic reasons and are less likely to be sent to school in times of crisis. “That is why we would like to make a contribution to improving the living conditions there,” writes the school - and supported the organization with an amount of 5,000 euros.
Actually, according to the Neufahrn elementary school, part of the collected donations should have benefited our school to send to their families. Through personal connections to Rhineland-Palatinate, we can establish contact with a school that was completely destroyed by the flood disaster. After the summer holidays, school children and teachers will learn and teach there in containers until further notice. With our contribution we want to improve the difficult learning situation. "
At this point, the primary school would like to thank all school children and teachers, all sponsors for their enormous willingness to donate, and all who were involved in the implementation of the runs.
