Yesterday, Brazil recorded, for the first time in more than seven months, a daily death rate from Covid-19 with less than a thousand cases, reaching 910 deaths.

According to the latest reports of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the number of deaths in the country has reached 556,370 cases, while the total number of injuries has reached 19,917855 injuries.

With 910 new deaths recorded during the past 24 hours, the average daily death toll in Brazil reached 989 over the past seven days.

A similar number, less than a thousand deaths, has not been recorded since the 20th of last January, at the beginning of a second deadly wave of the virus, but epidemiologists fear

A new rise in cases due to the delta mutant, which is spreading in several states of the country.

After a late and chaotic start due to a lack of available doses, vaccination has recently reached its full speed, with more than a million injections given daily since June, and in total more than 100 million people have received at least one dose of vaccine, while 40 million people have been fully immunized.

Brazil ranks second in the world in the number of deaths after the United States and third in the number of injuries after the United States and India.
